- • Line Speed: Rated by the manufacturer up to 180 meters per minute for marking 2D barcodes.
Technical Details
The print queue is pushed via the AIQR print gateway utilizing the Linx RCI protocol set. An inline vision sensor verifies contrast against target threshold.
Linx CIJ and laser printers in serialized lines
Linx continuous inkjet printers are the workhorses of secondary packaging coding, and the AIQR integration covers the Linx 8900 CIJ series and SL laser systems. Codes are pushed through the RCI protocol card over RS232 or Ethernet, so serialization runs on the same controller interface the line already maintains.
The validated scope includes 2D barcodes on plastic tubs, containers, and secondary packaging, and direct glass etching for laser applications, up to 180 meters per minute with an inline vision contrast check.
Because the integration uses the printer's native protocol rather than aftermarket hardware, adding serialization does not change your maintenance routine or spare part profile. Status: pilot tested, ready for deployment scoping.
