What is a GS1 Digital Link QR code?
It is a QR code containing a web address structured around GS1 identifiers, such as a product’s GTIN. A phone can open the linked product experience, while compatible systems can extract the identifiers.
Is the generator really free?
Link generation is free with no lifetime quantity cap. You can generate up to 1,000 individual-unit links per request and repeat as needed, subject to rate limits and abuse protection. During the launch preview, scan usage is measured but no scan charges are applied. Future rates and allowances will be disclosed before opt-in billing. Advanced analytics requires an eligible paid plan.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Enter product details and see a QR and illustrative product-page preview without signing up. Create a free account or sign in when you are ready to publish real links and download them. Your entered details carry into the application.
Does AIQR give me a GTIN or a GS1 registration?
No. Use GTINs already assigned to your products through the appropriate GS1 process. AIQR checks the number’s format and check digit, but that does not verify ownership or certify your product.
Should I create one code per product, batch, or individual unit?
Use a product-level code when all packs share the same information. Use a batch-level code for a particular lot. Choose individual-unit codes when each physical item needs its own serial identity. One shared product code can be printed on many packs.
What can I download?
After publication, download an Excel workbook, CSV, or a ZIP containing scalable SVG QR images and the workbook. Excel preserves leading-zero GTINs as text. When importing CSV, set the GTIN column to text.
Can I use the links for authentication, tracking, or loyalty?
You can select your intended use during setup. The hosted product-information page works after publication. Tracking events and rewards enrollment need separately connected programs. A registered QR identifier alone does not prove a physical product is authentic.
Where do I see scan results?
Sign in to the AIQR dashboard to find your saved links and basic monthly visit counts. Known bots and previews are excluded, and rapid repeat visits are grouped into ten-minute windows. Counts are not unique-person measurements or retail checkout scans. Per-link analytics requires an eligible plan.
